Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT invites engineering students to join the Combat and Weapons Systems (CWS) Summer Internship. This program exposes you to submarine systems, with mentors guiding work on design, testing, and integration integral to Columbia Class and Virginia Class projects.

The internship runs a minimum of eight weeks during Summer 2027. It is not remote, requires U.S. citizenship, full-time student status, medical screening, and security clearance as applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full-time at a college or university
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• US citizenship is required
• Must be able to pass a medically supervised drug screen and background check
• Available to work 40 hours per week for a minimum eight consecutive weeks May 2027–Sept 2027
• Pursuing a Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
