Arcfield is seeking a Submarine Combat Systems Engineer to support the U.S. Navy’s AN/BYG-1 system. The role leverages fleet experience in research, development, testing, and engineering to shape future submarine capabilities and CONOPS.

The candidate will translate operational needs into technical direction, author key docs, and participate in experiments and demonstrations. Local Newport, RI with onsite support and relocation as needed.

Formación

• Experience as a submarine Fire Control Technician or SONAR supervisor.
• Operational fleet experience on US submarines is required.
• Hands-on experience with missile, torpedo, and combat control systems.
• Ability to communicate fleet needs to engineers and Navy stakeholders.
• Active Secret clearance is required.

Responsabilidades

• Support full-spectrum R&D, testing, and engineering activities for future submarine combat systems and payloads.
• Provide an operational submarine perspective on combat system requirements, missions, and CONOPS.
• Translate fleet experience into actionable technical recommendations for engineers and program stakeholders.
• Develop and review white papers, system requirements, CONOPS, training guides, and other documentation.
• Participate in OPEX, peer reviews, COOPEX, demonstrations, and test/evaluation events.
• Communicate project progress and technical direction with fleet operators and navy stakeholders.
• Assist in evaluating submarine missile and torpedo systems and payloads.
• Train and mentor teammates across the project team.
