Job summary

Arcfield is seeking a Combat Systems/Weapons/Platform Systems Engineer to support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC). The role is on-site at NUWCDIVNPT, Newport, RI, focusing on troubleshooting, modernization, testing, and documentation for submarine and shipborne systems.

The ideal candidate will have DoD/Navy experience with combat control and weapons systems, strong written and oral communication, and an active security clearance.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Engineering or equivalent DoD/Navy technical experience.
• Experience with Combat Systems, torpedoes/missiles/payloads, and related platform electronics.
• Active DoD Secret level security clearance required.
• Strong troubleshooting, reporting, and testing skills for complex submarine systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and recommend maintenance/enhancements for Combat Systems and related platforms.
• Design or assess system modernization to meet Navy needs.
• Coordinate with the team to support weapon system upgrades and data requirements.
• Develop CONOPS, performance specs, and interface documents.
• Conduct tests and evaluations for requirements compliance and cyber resilience.
