Job summary

Jobgether SRL in the United States seeks a Manager Subcontracts 2 to lead a team supporting major defense programs, guiding the full lifecycle from sourcing through award and administration.

You will collaborate with engineering, contracts, quality, operations, and programs to optimize cost, performance, and risk while ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS. US citizenship is required for security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years in subcontracts, procurement, or related fields.
• At least 4 years of direct subcontract management experience.
• At least 3 years of people management leading 4+ contributors.
• Experience with FAR/DFARS requirements.
• Experience using SAP or another ERP/procurement system; strong MS Office.
• U.S. citizenship due to security clearance requirements.
• Preferred: Master’s in Business, Supply Chain, or MBA.
• Preferred: Experience leading subcontract programs or teams of 5+ in defense.
• Preferred: SAP knowledge, supplier scorecards, metrics analysis.
• Preferred: Contracts >$100M and change-management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of subcontract specialists.
• Oversee the complete subcontract lifecycle from sourcing to administration.
• Establish subcontract strategies balancing cost, schedule, technical requirements, supplier capability, performance, and risk.
• Coordinate with contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program teams, and end users.
• Manage bid packages, bidder conferences, proposal analysis, negotiation strategies, subcontract provisions, supplier selection, and award documentation.
• Monitor supplier quality, reliability, delivery performance, and overall execution with stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and mitigate risks through strategic sourcing.
• Ensure subcontract activities comply with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and drive corrective actions.
• Use supplier scorecards and ERP data to monitor portfolio health.
