Job summary

Jobgether SRL seeks a Manager Subcontracts 2 in the United States to lead a subcontract team within a defense/aerospace program. You will manage the lifecycle from sourcing to administration, coordinating with engineering, quality, and program teams to optimize cost and risk.

The role requires 8+ years in subcontracts (or 6+ with a Master’s), 4+ years of managing staff, and strong experience with FAR/DFARS, SAP, and MS Office. U.S. citizenship and Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience in subcontracts management, procurement, program management, contracts management, or a related field; alternatively, a master's degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• At least 4 years of direct subcontract management experience.
• At least 3 years of direct people-management or supervisory experience leading 4+ contributors.
• Demonstrated experience with FAR and DFARS requirements.
• Experience using SAP or another ERP/procurement system; strong Microsoft Office skills.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to security clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of subcontract specialists (5+).
• Oversee full subcontract lifecycle from market research to administration.
• Establish subcontract strategies balancing cost, schedule, and risk.
• Coordinate with engineering, quality, and program teams.
• Manage bid packages, proposals, negotiations, and awards.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive improvements.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and scorecards.
• Lead change initiatives in subcontracting processes.
