Subcontracts Manager

Job Description

The Supplier Account Manager is responsible for initiating, developing, and implementing effective Supplier Performance and Relationship management programs to ensure performance (productivity, quality, sustainability, and delivery), growth, and innovation, while effectively managing risk and spend.

Your role:
  1. Understand the full business relationship with each of the assigned suppliers, including their market position, strengths, weaknesses, strategic direction, investment plans, cost competitiveness, capabilities, and capacity, with relevant knowledge on products.
  2. Manage supplier performance to meet annual operating targets.
  3. Develop, maintain, and execute Supplier account strategies for the assigned supplier portfolio, clearly defining areas of improvement (cost, delivery, quality, responsiveness, innovation) and future business opportunities.
  4. Drive impact to the bottom and top line through Supplier Performance Development and innovative Negotiation approaches.
  5. Ensure compliance, manage contracts, and mitigate risks.
You're the right fit if you have:
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree (Business Administration and/or Engineering)
  • At least 3 years of experience as a strategic buyer, Site Project Procurement manager, or Business Process Engineer
  • Proven track record in strategic procurement; technical background is a plus
  • Broad experience with electro-mechanical and electronic components (cables, batteries, power supplies, ASICs, PCBs, passives, etc.); medical industry experience is advantageous
  • Experience in innovative supplier relationship management
  • Strong communication and influencing skills for collaboration with management teams and suppliers
  • Ability to work in a matrix and remote environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability in challenging environments
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
  • Ability to meet minimum physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirements with or without accommodations
How we work together

We believe in collaboration and teamwork. For office-based roles, onsite presence is at least 3 days per week. Roles requiring onsite work are based at the company's facilities, while field roles are typically outside the main facilities at customer or supplier locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range in Washington is $99,960 to $159,936. Actual offers depend on experience, skills, location, and business needs. Additional compensation may include bonuses, stock options, and comprehensive benefits as part of the Philips Total Rewards program.

Additional Information

US work authorization is required. No relocation benefits are provided. Residence or commuting distance to Bothell, WA, is necessary.
