Job summary

The Triton Construction Company is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support procurement of subcontractor trade packages and materials, assist with bid solicitation, scope review, and award documentation. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field is required or equivalent construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with purchasing and buy-out of assigned trade packages.
• Review drawings, specs, estimates to prepare bid packages and trade scope sheets.
• Identify subcontractors and vendors, issue bid invitations, obtain proposals.
• Track bid questions and scope clarifications and coordinate responses.
• Prepare bid-leveling comparisons and document pricing differences for review.
• Draft award recommendations and supporting documentation for approvals.
• Coordinate awards with Contracts/Insurance to support subcontract preparation and filings.
• Maintain organized purchasing records including proposals and final documents.
• Coordinate with Estimating and Field staff to align purchasing with project requirements.
• Track scheduling, lead times, and timely award dates.
