Triton Metal Products in Hamilton, IN, is seeking a Buyer to manage direct material purchasing and supplier relationships. This role focuses on securing raw materials, hardware, and outside processing services while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery against production needs.

You will work closely with Production, Quality, Accounting, and Operations to maintain inventory accuracy, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure timely shipments.

Formación

• 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience buying metal commodities, hardware/fasteners, outside processing, MRO items, or factory consumables is strongly preferred.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems; strong Excel and analytical skills are required.
• Ability to read bills of material, basic drawings, and certifications is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Direct material purchasing to support production schedules and inventory targets.
• Coordinate outside processing services and manage supplier performance.
• Manage factory supplies, consumables, and MRO items for daily operations.
• Support receiving, documentation, and inventory integrity with traceability.
• Participate in supplier evaluations and market risk monitoring.
• Maintain purchasing files, RFQ records, and SDS documentation.
• Support safety, continuous improvement, and departmental priorities.
