Quil Ceda Village is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Professional - Trainee (SUDP-T) to provide essential counseling services to Tribal members and the local community. The Substance Use Disorder Professional - Trainee (SUDP-T) will work under direct supervision to gain the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to achieve full licensure as a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP). The SUDP-T will assist in providing evidence-based counseling services related to substance abuse and other co-occurring disorders to Tribal members and others in the local community. This role includes training in case management, client intake, developing treatment plans, and engaging clients in recovery efforts. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to build rapport with patients and gain confidence and trust with patients and their families through respectful communication. The SUDP-T will, under direct supervision, network and communicate effectively with a variety of groups, organizations, including inpatient referrals and agencies, engage, motivate, coach, validate/reinforce, and redirect positive behavior change.
