Responsibilities

• Maintain attendance records and report misbehavior in a written referral.
• Converse with students on behavior per district policy.
• Assist students academically and oversee completion of assignments.
• Maintain communication with staff for orderly attendance procedures.
• Develop effective lunch detention and in‑school suspension processes with administration.
• Supervise the study hall area for the entire scheduled time.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal.

CLASSIFIED POSITION

REPORTS TO: PRINCIPAL

QUALIFICIATIONS: ASSOCIATE'S DEGREE OR 60 HOURS CERTFIED COLLEGE CREDIT; 21 YEARS OF AGE;

CAPABLE OF SUPERVISING LARGE GROUPS OF STUDENTS; CAPABLE OF MAINTAINING ORDERLY
RECORDS OF STUDENT ATTENDANCE; WILLING TO ASSISST STUDENTS WITH ACADEMIC NEEDS; MUST POSSESS BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS

Responsibilities

Assist the Principal and Associate Principal to promote the following:

• Supervise students in a structured environment appropriate for students

to do class work.

• Promote student discipline, student attendance and appropriate student interaction as described in the student discipline handbook.
• Maintain appropriate records of attendance and report any incidents of misbehavior in a written referral.
• Converse with students on appropriate classroom and school behavior in accordance with district policy.
• Be willing to assist students academically. Administer and oversee the completion of student assignments.
• Maintain consistent communication with all staff to assist in orderly attendance taking procedures.
• Work closely with administration on continuing to develop more effective ways to facilitate lunch detentions and in‑school suspension program.
• Supervise the study hall area whenever students are scheduled in the area. Always be present for the entire time students are using the study hall area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal/director designee.

Individual performance will be evaluated annually.
