TEKsystems is seeking on-site study moderators in Waltham, MA for a 3- to 6-month contract to support an in-person study on human communication.

As the on-site point of contact, you will guide participants through protocols, handle check-in, monitor session quality, and troubleshoot issues with support from the Study Lead. Strong people skills and reliability are essential. You will read words and sentences on screen and coordinate multiple participants during live sessions.

Overview

Our client is a company that partners with Technology teams to conduct studies aimed at advancing scientific knowledge and research and development. They are currently recruiting participants for an in-person study on human communication, focusing on aspects of speech and hearing, such as articulation and timing. They are looking for study moderators to help administer the study.

Description

Study moderators serve as the primary on-site point person for managing the end-to-end participant experience, from check-in to setup and data collection. You will guide participants through study protocols, monitor session quality, and act as the first point of contact for any troubleshooting. This role requires attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and a professional demeanor to ensure a smooth, reliable data collection process for every session.

Participation involves sitting at a computer and reading different words and sentences as they appear on screen. Each moderator will be responsible for managing multiple participants at time under the supervision of the Study Lead who will be on site and provide training and support.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent college graduate or pursuing a degree in Psychology, Communications, Health Sciences, or a related field
• Experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, or any people-facing role
• Interest in healthcare, research, or emerging technology

The role will be fulltime for 3-6 months with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Waltham, MA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
