Job summary

UW-Madison is seeking a Local Work Study Student for Main Street Yoga Center on the near East Side. The role focuses on front-desk check-ins, studio organization and training material preparation, with emphasis on customer service, documentation, and maintaining a clean, welcoming space.

Anticipated start Fall 2026 and end May 15, 2027. Hours: 10–15 per week, on-site four days a week; 80% class schedule availability.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and interacting with clients.
• Ability to write process documentation clearly and concisely.
• Organizational skills for physical spaces and supplies.
• Willingness to assist with training materials including written/docs and video.
• FAFSA award/acceptance must be demonstrated when applying.

Responsibilities

• Checking people into yoga class.
• Organizing and cleaning the studio.
• Quality assurance for related tasks.
• Customer service and interactions.

• Updating the studio website.
• Onboarding individuals who perform above tasks.
• Creating training videos and documentation.
