Job summary

Mercy University in Dobbs Ferry, NY is seeking an Assistant Studio Manager to support the Studio Manager with program needs and prepare facilities for courses and activities.

You will provide daily technical assistance to students and faculty, run weekly workshops, manage studio access, schedule labs, troubleshoot equipment, and maintain inventory of gear. This role requires hands-on expertise with music technology and collaborative work with faculty and student staff.

Qualifications

• Three years of music and audio software operation experience.
• Three years of recording studio operation experience.
• One year audio system design and installation experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage Music Facilities on Nights/ Weekends
• Assist Studio Manager with managing and coordinating studio operations, student staff, facilities scheduling, security and monitoring; develop policies and training manuals
• Assist in design, upgrades, purchasing, installation, and maintenance of equipment in studios & labs; manage inventory and records
• Provide tours and information for prospective students
• Provide technical services for campus concerts
• Daily scheduling of studio access
• Daily technical assistance to students
• Daily preparation of labs and studios, maintenance and setup
• Troubleshoot technical problems in studios and labs
• Weekly hardware and software maintenance of studios and labs
• Update inventory database as needed
