Job summary

Florida Gulf Coast University seeks a Coordinator, Music Technology to oversee day-to-day music tech resources and operations in the Bower School of Music. You will record, livestream, and archive performances, coordinate gear for classes and ensembles, and help develop beginner music technology courses.

You will supervise OPS staff, manage budgets within university guidelines, and collaborate with videographers to ensure high-quality audio and video for student recitals and events.

Qualifications

• Six years of related full-time experience or a Bachelor's degree plus two years in related field.
• Professional experience in studio production or digital audio techniques.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and manages operations of recital and rehearsal halls recording sessions and equipment.
• Coordinates music technology needs of School of Music faculty in classes, choir, orchestra, band, and/or opera.
• Records audio, video, and streaming of performances including student recitals and faculty events.
• Assists with development of introductory level music technology courses.
• Trains and schedules OPS staff for music instruction labs and recordings.
• Collaborates with videographer on video/audio recording processes and editing.
