Job summary

Agupdate in New York seeks a Studio Technician (Hourly) to maintain digital, photographic, and foundation art studios in Blodgett Hall. The role is part-time, up to 20 hours weekly, and reports to the Department Chair and Studio Director.

You will provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students, manage the digital print hub (large-format printer, desktop printer, two 3-D printers), and assist with Adobe applications, prints, and equipment checkout.

Qualifications

• Must be a self-starter capable of independent work and collaboration.
• Extensive understanding of Adobe applications, digital printing, and computer software.
• BFA in design, technology, photography, or digital art preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to faculty, staff and students for classroom or studio tech.
• Maintain the digital print hub, including large-format printers, a desktop printer, and two 3-D printers.
• Assist students with Adobe applications, print projects, and equipment checkout.
• Maintain the two Mac labs, supervise student workers, and care for Blodgett studios and labs.
• Coordinate between Klapper Studio Technician/Director of Studio Operations to support both buildings.
