Job summary

Mercer University is seeking an Events, Backstage and Production Booth Tech to support School of Music events. Responsibilities include backstage event support and production booth duties such as recording, streaming, and lighting, with training provided.

Must qualify for federal work study and be available evenings and some weekends; lifting up to 30 pounds is required. Position is part-time and runs August through April with events mainly on campus at the McCorkle Music Building.

Qualifications

• Must qualify for federal work study program.
• Must be able to work evenings and some weekends.
• Some experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide backstage event support, including stage management and setup of chairs and music stands.
• Record and live stream recitals in the production booth; handle microphones and stage lighting.
• Troubleshoot during events with reliability and teamwork, and maintain smooth concert operations.
