Job summary

Life Time is seeking a Lead-Studio to mentor the Studio Fitness team across multiple formats (Studio, Cycle, Yoga, Signature Small Group Training) at our Coral Gables location. You will lead by example, manage department goals and budgets, and drive branded class experiences that help members reach their goals.

You will teach and oversee performances, optimize class schedules, and partner with the General Manager to interview and onboard new team members while ensuring high-quality member

Qualifications

• Leads and mentors a team of performers/coaches and ensures alignment with company policies and expectations.
• Manages working and class schedules across Studio, Cycle, Yoga, and/or Signature Group Training offerings.
• Requires experience building high-performing teams and mentoring career paths.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and supervise performers; provide daily feedback.
• Optimize schedules for staff and club classes.
• Teach 7–10 classes per week to assess and adjust offerings and schedules.
• Assist GM in interviewing and onboarding new members of the team.
• Assist the GM in studio budgeting and achieve business targets.
• Ensure members have an artisanal, branded experience.

Job description

Position Summary

The Lead-Studio is responsible for providing mentoring and leadership to the Studio Fitness team of performers within a Life Time location (Studio, Cycle, Yoga and/or Signature Small Group Training) as they deliver world class classes to members to help them achieve their goals. The Lead-Studio will serve as a role-model for the team of performers and coaches, managing department goals and budgets, delivering best "branded" programs, driving and contributing to overall club performance, and building communities

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Leads and mentors fitness performers, providing daily supervision, monitoring class performance, providing performance feedback, and ensuring the team is aware of company policies, protocols, and expectations.
• Optimizes and manages the working schedules of direct reports, and the class schedules of club Studio, Cycle, Yoga, and/or Signature Group Training offerings
• Teaches 7-10 classes/week in order to assess and modify Life Time's class offerings and schedules as needed .
• Works with the General Manager to scout and interview new team members, managing the onboarding process for new performers.
• Assists the General manager in managing the studio budget, and delivers on company and club-specific business goals, including those related to target participation expectations, schedule optimization, and performance goals
• Ensures members experience an artistry level member experience

Position Requirements

• Teaches both Small Group Training and Large Group Training classes
• National Group Fitness and/or Yoga Certification
• Fitness and Nutrition Certification
• 2 or more years of leadership or managerial work
• Proven successful collaboration with team members
• Proven background in building high performing teams, with the ability to mentor and cultivate the career path of team members
• Familiar with managing a budget and staff and offering schedules
