Job summary

Chester County Intermediate Unit is seeking a Student Worker - Facilities to support maintenance teams and perform clerical tasks at various campuses. The role targets current TCHS Pennocks Bridge students and combines hands-on trades assistance with data entry, word processing, and general office support.

The position is part-time, up to 20 hours per week, with daytime hours and a pay of $14.00 per hour. The successful candidate will have strong organization, communication, and multitasking

Qualifications

• Current student in TCHS Pennocks Bridge program through CCIU (required).
• HVAC, Electrical Occupations, or Carpentry trades preferred.
• Senior year enrollment preferred.
• Clerical skills include word processing, typing, data entry and proofreading.
• Recommendation and permission from high school guidance office.
• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts in routine tasks.
• High energy and motivation level.
• Comfortable delivering and receiving constructive feedback.
• Strong organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Provide trades-specific support to the lead Technician and Facilities staff as needed.
• Provide clerical support to Facilities Technician and Buildings and Grounds Supervisor as needed.
• Provide clerical support to Technician and/or Buildings and Grounds Supervisor as needed.
• Provide clerical support to and back-up in Facilities as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Effective for the 2026-2027 school year, a vacancy exists for tradespecific Student Worker for facilities maintenance includingHVAC, plumbing, and electricalwithin the Administrative Services division of the Chester County Intermediate Unit. The selected candidate will assist facilities staffwithhands on trouble shooting, repairs, and/or replacement, at various campuses. The successful candidate must currently be enrolled at the Technical College High School Pennocks Bridge campus.

Qualifications

Schedule
