Chester County Intermediate Unit is seeking a Student Worker in Facilities to assist with hands-on maintenance tasks and clerical support at the Pennocks Bridge site. The role targets students enrolled in the TCHS Pennocks Bridge program, preferably in their senior year, with interest in HVAC, electrical, or carpentry trades.

Responsibilities include assisting lead technicians, handling word processing, data entry, and schedule coordination while supporting Buildings and Grounds staff.

Qualifications

• Current student in TCHS Pennocks Bridge program through CCIU is required
• HVAC, Electrical Occupations, or Carpentry trades preferred
• Student enrolled in senior year preferred
• Clerical skills, including word processing, typing, data entry, and proofreading
• Recommendation and permission from high school guidance office
• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts in routine tasks
• High energy and motivation level
• Comfortable delivering and receiving constructive/critical feedback
• Strong organization, prioritization, time management, and follow-through
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
• Ability to meet demands from several people and multi-task
• Outstanding interpersonal skills
• Organizing and coordinating skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations

• Provide clerical support to Facilities Technician and Buildings and Grounds Supervisor as needed.

Effective for the 2026-2027 school year, a vacancy exists for tradespecific Student Worker for facilities maintenance includingHVAC, plumbing, and electricalwithin the Administrative Services division of the Chester County Intermediate Unit. The selected candidate will assist facilities staffwithhands on trouble shooting, repairs, and/or replacement, at various campuses. The successful candidate must currently be enrolled at the Technical College High School Pennocks Bridge campus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide trades specific support to the lead Technician and other Facilities staff as needed

$14.00 per hour

Schedule:

Up to 20hours per week, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
