Job summary

Millersville University is seeking a Student Worker to join the editing and publishing team for 2026-2027. You will help edit articles for the Engage for Change and Made in Millersville Journals in a collaborative student environment and gain hands-on experience with digital publishing.

The role requires 10 hours per week with Mon-Fri availability and some weekends; you may take on a specialty role in marketing, outreach, or web design and develop professional skills in time management,

Qualifications

• Sophomores, juniors, or seniors interested in publishing and editing a digital journal.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
• Efficient project and time management.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet goals and deadlines.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Must complete 3 required clearances (PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse History, and FBI Fingerprints).

Responsibilities

• Edit author’s articles submitted to the journal.
• Take on a specialty role (marketing for the journal, outreach, web design, project manager for authors).
• Contribute to journal’s growth.
• Work approximately 10 hours/wk.
• Have the opportunity to intern/work for two journals, one in the fall semester and one in the spring semester.
