Job summary

Millersville University is seeking a Student Worker to join the editing and publishing team for 2026-2027. You will help edit articles for the Engage for Change and Made in Millersville Journals in a collaborative student environment and gain hands-on experience with digital publishing.

The role requires 10 hours per week with Mon-Fri availability and some weekends; you may take on a specialty role in marketing, outreach, or web design and develop professional skills in time management,

Qualifications

Sophomores, juniors, or seniors interested in publishing and editing a digital journal.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
Efficient project and time management.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet goals and deadlines.
Ability to multi-task.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Organized and detail-oriented.
Must complete 3 required clearances (PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse History, and FBI Fingerprints).

Responsibilities

Edit author’s articles submitted to the journal.
Take on a specialty role (marketing for the journal, outreach, web design, project manager for authors).
Contribute to journal’s growth.
Work approximately 10 hours/wk.
Have the opportunity to intern/work for two journals, one in the fall semester and one in the spring semester.
