Job summary

Mount St. Mary’s University is seeking a Student Worker - Athletics Sports Information (Work-Study) to assist in the Sports Information Office, representing the office on campus.

You will help with press releases, statistics, photography, video board operations, game day tasks, and content posting across channels; enjoy a professional campus environment. Position is part-time, eight hours per week, paid at Maryland minimum wage; work around class schedule, gain experience and develop leadership

Responsibilities

• Assist the sports information office with press releases, statistics, photography, graphics, and video board operations.
• Help on gamedays with recording, calling, and generating stats for selected sports.
• Run music and scoreboard for athletic events.
• Capture, edit, and post photos and videos through department channels.
• Support video board operations for basketball with motion graphics, camera work, and technical directing.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Job Description

A student worker employee for the Sports Information Office is a representative of the office both in the office and on campus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the sports information in a variety of fields, including but not limited to press releases, statistics, photography, creative content, and video board operations.
• Help on gamedays with recording, calling, and generating stats for certain sports.
• Running music and scoreboard for selected athletic events.
• Capturing, editing, and posting photos and video clips through the department’s content channels – archival, digital, and social Generate graphic for athletic events and various announcements.
• Help with video board operations at basketball through motion graphic director, camera operations, and technical directing.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Salary and Hours

Students are paid the current minimum wage for Maryland.

Students will work a total of eight (8) hours per week.
