Job summary

Weber State University is seeking a Web/Application Developer for the Computer Literacy Center (CLC) to design, develop, and maintain online learning modules and web projects. You will collaborate with product owners, faculty, and students to deliver effective modules and web solutions.

The role requires strong JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON skills; CMS experience and excellent communication with clients and team members. Bilingual Spanish proficiency is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with programming, especially JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS.
  • Familiarity with JSON.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms like Wix/Shopify/Squarespace/WordPress.
  • Good communication and customer-service skills.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft and Google Suite.
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product owner to understand project scope.
  • Write frontend and backend JavaScript to implement requirements.
  • Work with developers and professors to solve problems.
  • Research documentation and integrate third-party libraries.
  • Apply programming fundamentals to current projects.
  • Assist Supervisor or CLC Director as needed.
  • Learn to create online learning modules for the Computer Literacy Center.
