Job summary

Florida Atlantic University seeks an Associate Director of Student Union Operations in Boca Raton to oversee day-to-day facilities, operations, and services. This role liaises with campus departments, student groups, and external customers, shaping policies and ensuring compliance.

You will supervise student managers, provide event support in the Student Union and Esports Arena, manage budgets, maintenance schedules, and space usage reporting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an appropriate field with four years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with six years.
• Ability to function independently and professionally in the assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Selects, trains, supervises, and evaluates student staff to carry out the unit's mission.
• Provide oversight and supervision for the professional and student staff delivering general Student Union operational services.
• Provides technical assistance for events and programs within the Student Union and the eSports Arena and Gaming Center.
• Assists with major events.
• Develop and administer an annual facility maintenance and repair schedule for all Student Union facilities.
• Directs the administration of room set-ups and takedowns for events and related equipment.
• Oversees Facility Maintenance and Custodial teams to keep the Student Union clean and well-maintained.
