Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a LifeWise vehicle driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a mature Christian faith, holds a valid driver's license, maintains a clean driving record, and is willing to undergo background checks and drug testing. This part-time role emphasizes punctuality, safety, and a caring demeanor, with potential classroom volunteering opportunities as agreed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a regular driver's license and have been licensed for at least 3 years.
• CDL with passenger endorsement required for 15-passenger vehicles; 15-passenger vans may not require a license.
• Age 21–80; drivers over 75 may need additional documentation.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in 5 years.
• Background check and yearly physician's statement for medical conditions.
• Drug/alcohol testing pre-employment and periodically.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel when needed.
• Create a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classrooms if agreed with Director.
