Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time driver to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, and maintains a clean driving record.

Responsibilities include transporting students and volunteers, obeying traffic laws, keeping the bus clean and mechanically safe, performing regular inspections, fueling as needed, and creating a calm, caring environment for children.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with required vehicle endorsements.
• Age 21–80; drivers over 75 may need physician's statement and special documentation.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or violations in 5 years.
• Background check and drug/alcohol testing as required.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a calm, caring environment for children and assist with boarding.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if agreed with the Director.
