Job summary

The University of Central Florida’s SGHMI at UCF Downtown seeks a Computer Operations Specialist III to deliver front-line and advanced technical support for students, troubleshoot hardware/software/network issues, and support specialized academic applications. You will contribute to knowledge management and user education while adhering to UCF IT standards.

Role involves providing support at the UCF Downtown Campus, handling identity and access management tasks, and creating knowledge base

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience supporting Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, network connectivity, and end-user computing issues.
• Familiarity with SQL, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, TrueCode, and other specialized software applications.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and identity and access management principles, including user provisioning and access control.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for SGHMI Students at the UCF Downtown Campus.
• Support includes application support, SQL, Visio, Project, TrueCode, access and identity management, and related applications.
• Diagnose and repair complex hardware and software issues escalated by technicians.
• Troubleshoot network issues.
• Create knowledge base articles documenting solutions and procedures.
• Educate users on equipment, software, and university systems.
