Job summary

University of Central Oklahoma is seeking a student employee to assist staff and faculty in supporting students with disabilities and their accommodations. The role supports the DSS Testing Center, assistive technology, and lab IT tasks.

Hours up to 25 per week during fall and spring, with 8am–5pm weekday schedule and class schedule flexibility. Enroll half-time; prior lab/tech experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Enrollment as a student at least half-time to be eligible for student employment.
• Willing to learn new things and adapt to a university environment.
• Prior lab or technical job experience is preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administering and proctoring alternative testing in the DSS Testing Center.
• Assist students with questions pertaining to software and assistive technology on lab computers.
• Monitor and maintain the DSS lab at NUC 305.
• Assist in software/hardware maintenance of accessible workstations across campus.
• Provide tier 1 level support for all office computers and technology in DSS office space.
• Migrate users' files to new computers and assist with training sessions.
