Job summary

American University is seeking an ACC Student Technician to support the daily operations of the Anderson Computing Complex (ACC) and the University Library. You will help ensure that computers, printers, and other technology resources are functioning properly while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patrons.

The role also assists faculty with the instructional use of classroom and laboratory technology.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic knowledge of computer and printer troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Assist full-time technicians with updating, maintaining, and troubleshooting computers and printers in the ACC and satellite labs.
Monitor and inspect the condition and functionality of computer lab equipment.
Provide technical support and assistance to students, faculty, and staff.
Help patrons locate software, training resources, classrooms, and other technology-related services.
Provide technical support in the Mac Lab.
Maintain a professional, clean, and quiet environment conducive to learning and productivity.
