Job summary

Genesee Lake School is seeking a Support Professional to provide direct care, academic support, and positive engagement for students in school, residential, and community settings. The role focuses on safety, skill-building, and development across daily activities, with classroom and non-school day coverage.

The position requires at least a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work on a team in a therapeutic, multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in an educational setting serving students with disabilities.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage students in living, activity, and community settings.
• Assist classroom teachers with instructional and behavioral support.
• Use de-escalation techniques and document incidents and data.
