Job summary

Genesee Lake School is seeking an experienced Assistant Program Manager to supervise Direct Support Professionals and coordinate daily operations across residential, educational, and community settings. You will partner with the Program Manager and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safety, structure, and progress for students.

The role emphasizes leadership in behavioral health, hands-on student support, and collaboration with staff across settings.

Qualifications

• Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in social or behavioral science preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a residential or behavioral setting required.
• Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staff Supervision & Program Coordination: supervise DSPs, coordinate staff schedules, lead team meetings, support HR duties.
• Student Support & Treatment Implementation: teach life skills, self-care, social interaction, and coping strategies; implement treatment and behavioral plans; monitor progress.
• Therapeutic Collaboration & Communication: attend treatment team meetings, coordinate with teachers and therapists, assist with medication reviews.
• Operational Responsibilities: ensure safety/compliance, manage supplies/budgets, transportation as needed, rotate weekends/holidays/on-call.
