Chester County Intermediate Unit is seeking Part-time Student Support Specialists to assist middle and high school students, including ELL and academic support students, at Penns Grove Middle School. The role emphasizes engaging, developmentally appropriate activities and daily lesson planning within a collaborative team.

The position offers part-time hours, Monday-Thursday 2:15pm-5:00pm, with an hourly pay band of $31.82-$39.77 for the 2026-2027 school year, and requires clearances and a valid

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Experience working with bilingual/bicultural students preferred.
• Experience working with the applicable age group preferred.
• Must have Act 33 and 34 clearances and federal background check.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsabilités

• Plan and implement daily lessons related to student needs.
• Provide an engaging environment designed to meet student needs.
• Implement behavior management strategies that are developmentally appropriate.
• Plan and implement a daily learning schedule including physical movement, SEL, and STEAM activities.

At the present time, vacancies exist for Part-time Student Support Specialists within the 21st Century Community Learning Center Program, Student Services Division of the CCIU. Currently, there are multiple openings working with middle and high school age students, and supporting English Language Learners and/or academic support students.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
• Experience working with bilingual/bicultural students preferred
• Experience working with the applicable age group preferred
• Must have Act 33 and 34 clearances and federal criminal history background check (available through CCIU upon hire)
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Duties & Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily lessons related to student needs
• Provide an engaging environment designed to meet the needs of students
• Implement behavior management strategies that are developmentally appropriate
• Plan and implement a daily learning schedule that includes:
  • Physical movement
  • Social and emotional learning
  • Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) activities
• Maintain student attendance and participation data
