Job summary

University of Missouri-Columbia is seeking a Student Support Specialist II to provide comprehensive support for the School of Visual Studies and related departments. The role focuses on student engagement, academic success, and administrative efficiency on the campus in Missouri.

In this in-person position, you will liaise with faculty and the Graduate School, oversee space planning, access control, and course scheduling while supervising work-study staff and operations for the SVS and partner

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Preferred: strong organizational capabilities and attention to detail.
Experience in an academic environment or student services is a plus.
Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Serve as a key contact for SVS faculty and students and liaise with the Graduate School.
Coordinate social media content and collaborate with the ASC Communications team.
Manage building access, keys, badges, and space planning for daily activities and events.
Hire and supervise work-study students and models for classes as needed.
Schedule SVS graduate and undergraduate courses and coordinate admin tasks for multiple departments.
