Job summary

Chickasha Public Schools is seeking a paraprofessional to support a student with a disability in various settings and help implement IEPs. The role includes assisting with personal care, safety, and daily tasks to enable classroom success.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant Praxis/paraprofessional testing, or 48 college hours. Training and ongoing PD are expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required and PRAXIS PARAPRO or 48 semester hours.
• Ability to follow district and classroom policies.
• CPR/First Aid training required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in general and special education settings.
• Support student safety and personal care as needed.
• Supervise students during arrival, meals, and field trips.
• Assist with classroom tasks and guided practice of skills.
• Provide verbal directions and language support as needed.
