Job summary

Responsibilities include adapting activities, administering assignments, assisting with lesson tasks, monitoring student behavior, and maintaining records to ensure a safe, organized learning environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required and one of the following: Tier 1 or Tier 2 paraprofessional qualifications.
• OSDE Paraprofessional Credential required with related training.
• CPR/First Aid certification maintained current.
• Annual training in Universal Precautions/Bloodborne Pathogens.
• Regular professional development hours each year.

Responsibilities

• Assist in classroom activities and reinforce lessons for individual or small groups.
• Support teachers with instructional materials, routines, and operations.
• Monitor students to maintain a safe learning environment across settings.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and logs.
• Perform clerical tasks to help teachers prepare instructional materials.
• Communicate progress and incidents to instructional staff and administrators.
• Assist with personal care needs as required and directed by supervision.
