Job summary

Oakland Human Resources Consortium seeks a Paraeducator Student Support for the Spring Mills Elementary School in Michigan. This Level Four Classroom position supports students under the direction of the classroom teacher, in both special education and regular education settings, with two openings for the 2026-27 school year.

Hours are 32.5 per week, with a Monday–Friday schedule. Start date is August 2026.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to work with students with physical, cognitive, emotional, learning and/or developmental disabilities.
• Previous experience with this age group or special education students preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with school staff and officials.
• Must sign Consent to Bill for Medicaid.
• Must attend Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training after school or as required.

Responsibilities

• Complement, supplement and reinforce students' instruction under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Assist with preparation of materials and clean up after students.
• Assist with general supervision of students during lunch and recess.
• Attend to routine medical procedures or hygiene needs as required.
• Other duties as assigned by the special education teacher or building principal.
• Track academic or behavioral data as directed by teacher.
