Job summary

South Burlington School District is seeking a Substitute Interventionist to provide specialized instructional and behavioral support to students across settings. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in education, psychology, mental health, or similar discipline preferred.
• Minimum of an Associate’s Degree or 60+ college credits required.
• Certifications: Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and First Aid certification required; interventionist training within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct instruction and assists students in classroom settings consistent with the student’s IEP.
• Adapts materials and environment to support students in accessing the academic standards at the student’s grade level.
• Follows district policies and procedures including instructional techniques, communication plans, and behavior management.
• Collaborates with teachers, co-workers, parents, healthcare workers, and others to ensure an appropriate learning experience.
• Maintains records and data sheets for assigned students and contributes to IEP development and progress tracking.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in education, psychology, mental health, or similar discipline

Associate’s Degree or sixty (60) college credits
