Job summary

The Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) is seeking a dedicated Elementary School Operations paraeducator to provide instructional support and reinforce learning for students across classrooms and related environments.

Responsibilities include implementing curriculum support, assisting with behavior plans, data collection, and supervision during meals, breaks, and field trips. Candidates should have an Associate’s Degree or 48 college credits and DPI certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications include Associate’s Degree or 48 credits beyond high school, or passing onsite assessment.
• Department of Public Instruction Certification to work with disabled children.
• Preferred qualifications include fluency in Spanish and English, prior public school experience, CPR and first aid training.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support and reinforcement to students in academic, behavioral and functional areas across school, community and vocational settings.
• Implement curriculum and behavioral intervention strategies under the direction of a teacher.
• Assist with loading/unloading school buses and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain records and daily schedule under the case manager.
• Work with diverse students and maintain confidentiality.
