Job summary

Milwaukee Succeeds is hiring an Instructional Assistant at Lake Denoon Middle School in Muskego, WI. The role supports instructional activities, supervises students across regular classes and unstructured times, and assists with behavior management.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have DPI Spec. Ed. Program Aide certification or be willing to become certified at your own expense.
• Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
• Must be able to work flexible hours.
• Ability to lift/restrain students weighing up to 80 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instructional activities and supervision of students in regular education classes and unstructured times (lunch, playground, field trips, bus).
• Assist with behavior management strategies and consequences.
• May assist with self-help skills and health care procedures as needed.
• May transport students in school vans for school-related activities.
• Other duties as assigned by administrator or classroom teacher.
