Responsibilities

• Assists in instructional activities as directed by the teacher, including direct instruction of students.
• May assume responsibility for class when teacher is absent/unavailable.
• Follows mobility, dining and direct care protocols as directed by the teacher or therapist.
• Assists with management needs of students, including activities of daily living.
• Carries out therapeutic goals within classroom activities under supervision.
• Records data and monitors student responses as directed by staff.
• Follows behavioral plans/interventions for assigned students.
• Communicates student information to supervisor and team members, including parents as directed.
• Participates in classroom dining program.
• Maintains alertness and engagement during the shift to ensure student supervision.
