Job summary

The Greater Cincinnati School Application Consortium is seeking an Educational Aide to support certified staff in meeting instructional goals. Under supervision, you will assist students in reading, language arts, mathematics, and computer instruction, working individually and in small groups to reinforce learning and ensure progress toward IEP objectives.

You will help with classroom materials, assessments, record-keeping, and behavior management, while also supervising students during lunch,

Qualifications

• Ability to carry out instructions
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide to assist students
• Ability to use computers and software (Word, Excel)
• Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information
• Support students with special needs and IEP goals
• Establish cooperative working relationships with staff and students
• Report work to supervisor in writing or verbally
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist students in reading, language arts, mathematics, computer instruction and related skills.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist in administration and correction of classroom exercises, tests and assessments.
• Prepare instructional materials and reinforce skills to meet individual needs.
• Help with record-keeping of student learning and performance.
• Support classroom behavior management to maintain a safe, orderly environment.
• Supervise students during non-instructional times and on field trips.
• Assist with parent contact to encourage involvement in education.
