Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and an associate degree or 48 semester hours or 75 quarter hours.
• Pass the State ParaPro Assessment or have an associate degree or higher.
• Maintain Ohio certification/license as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of students as directed by the principal.
• Supervise and assist students individually or in small groups.
• Assist in preparing and duplicating classroom material.
• Liaise with district staff, parents and community with tact and diplomacy.
• Assist students with classwork and makeup work.
• Maintain student records and confidentiality.
• Attend educational field trips and supervise recess/lunch as needed.
• Assist teacher with clerical duties and basic first aid when necessary.
• Follow district policies and be punctual for duties.
