Job summary

Beach Park Community Consolidated School District 3 is seeking a Teacher Assistant to support instructional activities and student services. The role involves assisting teachers, preparing materials, enforcing classroom rules, and providing targeted help to students during RTI sessions.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a Paraprofessional License. Candidates should be able to work well with children, follow instructions, and use basic computer tools.

Qualifications

• No experience required but experience working with students would be beneficial.
• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must hold a Paraprofessional License.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in planning and maintaining a safe, clean learning environment.
• Plan with and assist the teacher in preparing materials and supplies.
• Enforce administrative policies and rules governing students.
• Participate in staff development training programs and faculty meetings.
• Assist in discipline and provide support to students with special needs.
• Provide RTI instructional support and work with students individually or in small groups.
• Observe and record student performance and provide feedback on assessments.
