Job summary

White Bear Lake Area School District is seeking a Student Supervisor at Mariner Middle School in White Bear Lake, MN. This role supports student safety by monitoring hallways, entrances, labs, playgrounds, and common areas during school hours.

The position runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week across 180 school days. A high school diploma or GED is required, with minimal experience with children; an associate degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; experience with children preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitors hallways, building entrances, computer labs, playgrounds, lunchrooms and student passing areas.
• Carries out student discipline as directed by administrator and checks in and supervises detention/ISS attendees.
• Runs passes for students; assures passes are accurate.
• Walks throughout school buildings; acts as a model for student behavior.
• Acts as a supervisor to students, enforcing school rules and expectations.
• Coordinates homework of students in ISS or detention with teachers.
• Attends and participates in relevant meetings and committees.
• Monitors transportation and pickup/drop-off areas for students and staff.
• Provides customer service to students, staff, parents, visitors and the general public.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

High School diploma or GED and minimal experience working with children, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associates/Technical degree preferred.
