Job summary

The White Bear Lake Area School District is seeking a Playground and Lunchroom Substitute Assistant for elementary schools. This on-call position requires working 2.25 hours per day, 10:30 a.m.

to 12:45 p.m., and involves supervising students in the playground and cafeteria, maintaining a calm and safe environment, and supporting the principal as needed. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED.

Job description

Salary Range: Non Affiliated Rates of Pay$19.00 per hour

Start Date: September 2026

Closing Date: Candidates will be reviewed upon submission with selection starting no sooner than five days following the posting. The position will remain open until a suitable candidate has been found.

Work Week: ON CALL WHEN NEEDED - 2.25 Hours/Day, 10:30-12:45 p.m.

Positions Summary

Playground and Lunchroom Substitute Assistant

Performs support monitoring student behavior as part of a team, assisting with maintaining a safe and clean playground area and cafeteria, maintaining a calm environment, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed outside and inside unless raining or below zero temps. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Principal. The substitute supervisor will be called on days when regular Recess/Cafeteria Supervisors are absent.

Education And /or Experience

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
