Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• 2+ years experience working with students in higher education.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to learn new software quickly and use technology to improve performance.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including days, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Engages in New Student Orientation, events, and scheduled meetings as requested.
• Develops programs with campus leadership to meet advising-related needs and improve retention.
• Plans orientation workshops and activities for incoming and current students.
• Assesses attendance and retention using the retention model to guide programs addressing needs.
• Identifies at-risk students and coaches them through issues with follow-up.
• Assist students with technology questions regarding the student portal, Microsoft 365 and Canvas.
• Ensure Canvas Orientation completion by end of first module.
• Provide timely follow-up and track student cases within 24 hours.
• Maintains accurate records and submits tutoring reports and calendars as instructed.
• Participates in retention efforts for online students as Online Student Services Coach.
• Provide resources including orientation, advisement and referrals.
• Ensures campus compliance with events and activities including various awareness programs.
• Provides leadership to student clubs and organizations and plans graduation activities.
• Participates in planning the annual graduation ceremony and organizes awards.
• Supports Education Resource and Assessment Manager by proctoring exams and inventory control.
