Job summary

Southern Utah University seeks a University Housing Non-Clinical Case Manager to lead non-clinical case management and coordinate resources for SUU students living in University Housing. You will work with Campus Life leadership to support students, reduce withdrawals, and improve retention.

The role involves crisis on-call, programming, and collaboration with campus partners to assess needs, develop interventions, and connect students to campus and community resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in higher education or crisis management.
• Proven self-motivation and organizational acumen to independently plan and execute tasks under deadlines; manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to represent University Housing to senior leaders, students, families, and the community.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate non-clinical case management resources for academics, wellness, mental health, behavioral concerns, and crises for SUU students.
• Collaborate with University Housing and campus partners to assess needs, risks, and develop intervention plans for students of concern.
• Support re-engaged students returning after withdrawal/deferral with transition plans.
• Oversee team duties to holistically support students and improve retention.
• Assist with Early Alerts and intervene with students facing academic or health challenges.
• Monitor semesterly data and generate reports to identify trends and inform strategies.
