Job summary

The University of St. Thomas is seeking a collaborative Coordinator of Student Success Programs & Strategic Outreach to lead student engagement initiatives and support strategic outreach across the Division of Student Success in Houston, Texas.

The role focuses on planning events, building relationships with students, and using data to inform outreach and improve outcomes, with emphasis on serving first-generation and historically underserved populations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Education, Communication, or related field.
• Experience in higher education student services, event planning, program coordination, or student affairs.
• Strong data literacy with ability to interpret both big-picture and granular data.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implement student engagement programs and events promoting connection, belonging, and success.
• Collaborate with campus departments to promote cross-functional programming and outreach.
• Build and maintain relationships with students through direct outreach and follow-up communications.
• Coordinate logistics, communications, scheduling, participant tracking, and assessment activities for programs.
• Lead administrative coordination for the Mendenhall Summer Institute and provide student-facing guidance before, during, and after the program.
• Support Freshman Symposium planning, including communications, scheduling, and stipend processing.
• Maintain records of student interactions and outcomes across success platforms.
