Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Education, or related field.
• 1–3 years in higher education student services, coaching, advising, or case management.
• Ability to build trust quickly with students in distress; first connection within 48 hours of a crisis flag.
• Proficiency in data entry, data tracking, and identifying patterns; comfortable pulling weekly platform reports.
• Organized and deadline-driven; Monday data pull is a non-negotiable weekly commitment.
• Experience with student success platforms (Watermark SS&E, EdSights) or ability to learn new tech quickly.
• Commitment to the Catholic and Basilian mission of UST and holistic student development.

Responsibilities

• Direct Success Coaching: coach students flagged via alerts with rapid contact and needs assessments.
• Connect students to resources (Knack tutoring, Celt Food Pantry, Financial Aid, Counseling).
• Log all contacts in Watermark SS&E within 24 hours and schedule next appointment.
• Serve as a full coaching team member; escalate non-responsive students after three outreach attempts.
• Coaching Data Tracking: weekly data pulls across platforms to identify unresolved alerts and coverage gaps.
• Prepare monthly coaching coverage report with metrics on students coached and outreach effectiveness.
