Sylvania seeks a dedicated Paraprofessional to join our Elementary and Middle/ High School teams in a full-time capacity. You will work closely with teachers to implement lesson plans, provide individualized student support, and help create a positive learning environment.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with students and staff.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take direction from teachers.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology.
• Background checks and any state-specific licensing requirements may apply.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic classroom environment.

Responsabilidades

• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.
• Provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
• Facilitate small group instruction and assist with classroom management.
• Help students with daily tasks, such as organization, time management, and homework completion.
• Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to develop and implement effective strategies for student success.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including maintaining student records and preparing instructional materials.
• Support students during lunch, recess, and other non-instructional times as needed.
